The ChildCare Club
The Childcare Club at Thomas A Becket Junior School offers a breakfast club between 7:40am - 8:40am, and after school care from 3.00pm—4.30pm or 3.00pm—6.00pm, on a daily basis, during term time (excluding inset days & bank holidays). The Club is for children who attend the School.
We have been listening to what kids want and combined it with what parents want, which means that the children who attend the club make the choices about what they would like to do and how they would like to do it. Our aim is to widen their experiences and ensure that they are having a great time.
There is a wide and varied choice of equipment allowing for choice, space and time for uninhibited play and areas where children can play. As Play workers, we will facilitate and support the child‘s play; which is based upon observation, reflective practice and base knowledge and understanding of the play process. We also offer structured activities on a daily basis. The children are involved throughout the planning process and we value their ideas and contributions. Help with homework and quiet areas for reading and relaxing are also offered.
The Club is run by a qualified, skilled team of staff in a safe environment and for the kids it’s their own chilled ‘n’ relaxed area. There is always a first aider on-site. All staff have suitable enhanced CRB checks.
