New Hot School Meal Provider - September 2026
From September 2026 our hot meals will be delivered by a new provider - ISS Education. They can cater for all dietary needs including religious, vegetarian, vegan and allergies.
Invites for parents to register on the FEED app are sent directly from Kanpla – please see the image below as an example of the parent invite.

Menu
Placing orders
Once registered, parents will be able to browse the menu and place meal orders directly through the app or web portal.
- orders can be placed or cancelled, up until 9am on the day, so children can still have a school meal even if the order is placed that morning.
- Parents can order for the whole term in one go, or set recurring or default orders, such as a vegetarian meal four days a week.
- Auto top-up can be switched on so the account balance is topped up automatically when it runs low.
- Multiple children can be managed under one parent account, even across different schools and year groups.
- Parents will be able to order food via the FEED app from August.

Hot School Meals until the end of the Summer Term 2026 - Chartwells
We are proud to work with Chartwells for your children’s school lunches. Chartwells believe that the key to fuelling young minds comes from understanding both what they need and what they enjoy, which is why they develop nutritious and delicious food that pupils love, alongside helping to ensure a healthy body and mind. Their passionate culinary experts work closely with us to ensure every child receives healthy food, perfectly suited to meet their needs and dietary requirements.
The current meal price is £3.20
How to order: Log on at www.parentpay.com to choose and book your meals. Orders need to be placed by midnight Thursday, ten days ahead of the week required. For example, meals for the week starting Monday 12th would have an order deadline of Thursday 1st. You will have received an activation letter and temporary password to set up your ParentPay account. If you need this resent, please contact your school office. This will be for all Free School Meals and for paid meals.
Please note that Parentmail will still continue to be our method of communication and payment for trips/activities. ParentPay is just to be used for ordering hot school meals for your child.

Free School Meals
The Government gives money to schools to help children from lower income families do their very best. This funding is called 'Pupil Premium'.
This money could be used to help eligible families with the cost of school trips and visits. Children who are registered will also be eligible to receive free hot school meals, saving your approximately £602 per year, should you wish to have them.

West Sussex County Council - Free School Meals
School Trips
Any children who are entitled to free school meals can order a free school packed lunch if they are due to be out on a school trip during the usual hot meal service. This must also be done on ParentPay. Please select Chartwells Trip Lunch on the required day before the cut-off point.
Special Diets
Religious diets will be catered for by the vegetarian meal option.
For children with food intolerances and allergies, Chartwells have a dedicated team of medical diet nutritionists on hand to support allergen aware children and their parents. More information on their medical diet process can be found here: The Chartwells Approach to Medical Diets | Chartwells
